Fashion At The Grammys!

Gravity-defying hair, lots of bling and Hollywood's favourites decked out in their not-so-finest threads. The  2014 Grammy Awards took a place a few hours ago, and I was a tad disappointed with the red carpet looks. 

The only star who really blew me away was Beyonce, and that was a given, because she's infinite perfection these days!

Think metallic, think big big hair and think sheer gowns - the red carpet was predominantly filled with regal designs, in a somewhat played-down manner.There was no Gaga, there was no Miley - no meat dress & no twerking = let's get classy darling. 

Besides Queen B, I was rather impressed with Paris Hilton's Haus of Milani gown - she was a Snow Queen personified! Katy Perry's musical inspired Valentino Couture gown was an absolute beauty, and was what the Grammys is really about. You're dressed for an all-star, iconic affair and hold nothing back. Love. 

But, Madonna's Ralph Lauren pantsuit? Hate hate hate. I'm pretty sure she wore the same thing in her Me Against The Music video years ago, but kudos to her son for keeping things more refined.

Willow Smith Wows in Karl Lagerfeld Shoot!

Willow Smith kind of amazes me. How is it humanely possible that a 13-year-old girl can look this edgy, yet self-contained in a photo shoot that're more Vogue than Teen Beat? This is one lil lady who never shies away from maximizing on her talents, and has become somewhat of an influential pop star in a short time. 

If you're shooting with maestro Karl Lagerfeld, then you're pretty much my icon of the moment. Willow stuns in her shoot for V Magazine, wearing pieces from high-end labels Givenchy, Chanel and her personal wardrobe. I love the fact that Willow has her own ever-evolving style, which she has embraced and built on with heaps of confidence. But, at the same time, I feel somewhat uncool and inadequate right now!

What does ‘sexy’ mean to you?
Sexy for me is someone who radiates genuine confidence, is endowed with an intelligent sense of humour, but above all, maintains a strong sense of self.

Beach party or quiet night in?
I would have to say that since moving to Cape Town with its beautiful beaches, it has to be the beach for me.

Is there a number-one girl in your life?
On the romance side, there’s no girlfriend at the moment, but I think I should take this opportunity to be cheesy and state that my mother is the number-one woman in my life *cheesy smile*.

DKNY Does NYC Chic.

I literally drooled over this stunning DKNY 2014 campaign, which features some of my favourite people taking over Times Square in various pieces of Summer love. 

The campaign stars Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Eliza Cummings, rapper A$AP Rocky and skater Dylan Rieder in an array of striking images and colourful clothing. I'm in love with the graphic prints and pops of colour, which really allows the collection to stand out on those laid-back Summer days! 

This ad campaign is definitely my new favourite reason to visit the Big Apple. Give. Me. More. 

Totally fetch darling.

Despite the fact that I cringed at some die-hard fans punting Mean Girls as the "greatest movie of all time", I'm still quite taken with this capsule collection from LA based jewelry line, Stella and Bow.

They've channelled the greatest one-liners from the movie, and transformed them into beautiful pieces of jewelry. Cuffs, rings and frenemy bracelets are what they're all about, and serve as a sartorial reminder of why we're glad that our teen years are over.

The only thing missing from this rather spirited line is Glen Coco. Shame.

Say Hello To Lottie Moss.

Kate Moss's little sister is quite the looker if these pictures are anything to go by. 

The 16-year-old has just been signed to Storm Model Management, which alludes to the idea that the little lady may be following in her big sister's gorgeous footsteps! 

This is one gene pool I really wouldn't mind getting caught up in.
