Get Prepped for Winter with Mr Price!

I recently realised that my wardrobe really isn't ready for winter. I hate cover-ups - I'm basically Snookie's height & coats can often worsen this - plus, winter worthy ensembles can often stretch your wallet game.

A UK survey states that the average woman can spend at least R5000 getting her wardrobe ready for the cuddle-buddy months. Who does that? Unless you've saved up all your Friday wine session doe, most of us cannot realistically afford to splurge on that must-have statement coat.

Enter Mr Price. Their new pieces are all sorts of fabulous, without the threat of undermining your lifestyle. You're given the option to indulge in some laid-back layering, tartan skirts, the classic ankle boot and the hottest accent colours to freshen things up.

Get inspired, turn up your winter game & play a little dress up!

Style Crush: Ashley Madekwe

Ashley Madekwa is one of those actresses’s I hate on screen, but love on the red carpet.

She knows exactly how to pair edgy high street knock-offs with designer ambition, and never shies away from curating her own definition of style. Her fashion blog Ring My Bell has slowly become a go-to online book, for those who need a little street-style inspiration.

“There’s no rhyme or reason to how I dress. I’m known for changing halfway through the day if my mood swings.”

P.S. Her hubby takes all her street style pics. Where do I find one of those?

Angelina Jolie for Elle Magazine.

Angelina Jolie is my favourite cup of tea right now. She's so blatantly honest, forthright and is the quintessential anti-hero.

Forget the blonde American sweetheart, Angie is sex personified and lives her life on her own terms. Her recent spread in Elle USA is disturbingly beautiful, with minimal makeup and an emphasis on strong, black & white imagery.

On what she used to think her life would be like:

“I never thought I’d have children, I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home - you kind of accept that certain things feel like a fairy tale, and you just don’t look for them.”

On how her relationship with Brad has evolved over the past eight years:

“You get together and you’re two individuals and you feel inspired by each other, you challenge each other, you complement each other, drive each other beautifully crazy. After all these years, we have history—and when you have history with somebody, you’re friends in such a very real, deep way that there’s such a comfort, and an ease, and a deep love that comes from having been through quite a lot together.”
